The Le Battistelle Battistelle Soave Classico is crafted from hand-harvested Garganega grapes grown on steep volcanic slopes in Soave Classico. Aged on fine lees for several months, it delivers aromas of white flowers, citrus, and herbs. On the palate, it’s mineral-driven, elegant, and well-balanced, with fresh acidity and a long, refined finish. Perfect with seafood, pasta, risotto, or poultry. Alcohol: 12.5%. Best served at 13–14?°C.
Le Battistelle is a family-run winery owned by Gelmino and Cristina Dal Bosco, located in the heart of the Soave Classico region in Veneto, Italy. In 2002, the family shifted from selling grapes to cooperatives to crafting wines under their own label. Today, they cultivate around 9 hectares of steep, volcanic hillside vineyards surrounding the hamlet of Brognoligo. The flagship vineyard, “Battistelle,” is so steep that it can only be worked by hand—an example of heroic viticulture.
The estate focuses exclusively on the native Garganega grape, which expresses itself here with a distinctive minerality and refined structure. Battistelle Soave Classico is traditionally pergola-trained, harvested by hand in October, gently pressed, and fermented in temperature-controlled tanks. It is then aged on fine lees for several months, adding depth and complexity to the wine.
Le Battistelle is dedicated to producing authentic, terroir-driven Soave wines that combine freshness, aromatic finesse, and a subtle saline character. In addition to its flagship Battistelle cru, the winery produces other single-vineyard bottlings such as Roccolo del Durlo, Montesei, and I Rasoli, as well as the sparkling Settembrino. With awards including Tre Bicchieri, Le Battistelle has become one of the rising stars of the Soave Classico appellation.
