Shop Assistant (m/f/d)

We are looking for a new colleague for our shop team, part-time or full-time. You should love food, delicatessen, wine and cookbooks, enjoy advising customers, not be a morning grouch, be able to carry wine boxes, speak fluent English and German, work quickly and very (very very!) systematically, and never lose your composure or your smile – even when the queue is long.

Barista experience is a plus – otherwise we are happy to train you.

You will work at our three stores in Prenzlauer Berg, Charlottenburg and Kreuzberg. You can expect a varied job, surrounded by great colleagues, fair pay and the opportunity to contribute your own skills and ideas.

Cooking Class Assistant (m/f/d)

As co-host, you will look after the cooking evenings at Goldhahn und Sampson, accompanying the participants and the instructor with your warm and engaging personality through a relaxed and educational evening. In practical terms, however, it is mainly a cleaning and dishwashing job (but there is a dishwasher, so it’s not that bad).
 
You have experience in the hospitality industry, and people say your own kitchen is frighteningly clean and tidy. Although you’re not extremely pedantic, your spice rack at home is sorted from A to Z, and you have to admit that you sometimes watch tutorial videos on wine glass polishing techniques. Communication skills, good English, attention to detail, fast and effective work, and an eye for the little things are a plus.
 
The workplace is our cooking school in Charlottenburg. You can generally choose your own working days, but we do expect flexibility. Working hours are mainly in the evenings and at night (it can go until 1–2 am). You will be employed on a mini-job basis (approx. 4–6 classes per month) or as a working student (max. 20 hrs/week during term + max. 40 during breaks). We are looking for you to join our team as soon as possible and above all: long-term, i.e. for at least 6 months.

Cooking Class Instructor (m/f/d)

For our cooking school in Charlottenburg, we are always looking for cooking instructors who want to teach classes with us long-term. Self-taught cooks are just as welcome as trained chefs.

You should be able to work on a freelance basis (invoice). Working hours are mainly in the evenings on weekdays and at weekends (Fri / Sat / Sun).

Requirements are either perfect German or perfect English (we offer cooking classes in both languages). Organisational talent, communication skills, teamwork and the professional handling of food and our guests are expected.

Experience in these areas is a plus:

  • Thai
  • Indonesian
  • Greek
  • Italian cuisine (fine dining, regional cuisine)
  • Eastern Mediterranean cuisines
  • Knife skills

But other specialisations are also welcome, provided we don’t already have them in our programme.
