Krack Blanc de Noirs Sekt Brut Pfalz 2022
Krack's Blanc de Noir Brut is, like all their sparkling wines, rather cool and juicy. Of course, it's also a vintage sparkling wine and is a blend of Spätburgunder and Schwarzriesling, also known as Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier in the region of Champagne. On the nose, ripe pear, white currant and a little brioche. In the mouth velvety and nutty, yet fresh and elegant. Aged on the lees for 20 months and low dosed.
The Deidesheim Sekthaus Krack was founded in 2015 and is run by Anna Spanier and the three brothers Christian, Felix and Axel. Her father already produced sparkling wine in his parents' winery and the four siblings have decided to shift their focus entirely to sparkling wine. We love the Kracks for their clear vision. In the vineyard, they work very carefully according to organic principles. Many of the grapes come from top locations in Deidesheim. The base wines are aged in large wooden barrels and long yeast storage, as well as the absence of sulphur, give the Krack sparkling wines their unique, spicy character. All sparkling wines are vintage sparkling wines. They undergo the classic bottle fermentation and are dosed in small quantities.
