Dead Delicious: Pan de Muerto and Hot Chocolate
Bake, sip, and celebrate life with flavors of Día de los Muertos.
mit Renata Lira
Day of the Dead is my favorite celebration of the year. Mexico is filled with color, memories, and love for those who are no longer with us: altars shine with marigold flowers, candles light the way for the souls, and the scent of orange blossom —the essence of pan de muerto— fills the air. In this class, we’ll honor this tradition by recreating, with our own hands, this delicious bread, complete with its characteristic "bones." And of course, we’ll enjoy it the right way: freshly baked, fluffy, sugar-coated, and accompanied by a warm, frothy hot chocolate.
