Edi Keber Collio DOC Friuli 2021
For everyone looking for an especially harmonious wine, Edi Keber's Collio Bianco is the right choice. Year after year the Kebers produce one of the most harmonious wines: Friulano, Malvasia, and Ribolla - all of them being typical Friulian grape varieties and Gialla contributing to the balanced taste. Wonderful aromas, citrus, culinary herbs, almond, some pear. Very slightly salty, mineral, with a great length. This wine can mature very well and is perfect for pairing with spicy dishes, light sauces, and white meat.
The Edi Keber winery is located in Collio, the hilly part of Friuli, directly bordering Slovenia. The Keber family runs a true family estate—while father Edi still holds responsibility, his children Veronika and Kristian are gradually taking over the management of this traditional winery. The beautiful old manor house sits on the edge of the village, surrounded by vineyards, offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.
The Kebers have a clear vision: to produce outstanding wine. For their fantastic Collio Bianco, they naturally use the region’s key grape varieties: Friulano, Malvasia, and Ribolla Gialla. In addition, they craft an excellent Merlot and a natural wine from the Slovenian Brda. The latter, however, is so rare that it is hardly available outside the region.
What all their wines share is that they are produced in the right way and are exceptionally harmonious. The Collio Bianco in particular, with its strong expression of terroir, has become an ambassador for the entire region.
