Klundt Gelber Muskateller trocken Pfalz 2023
Only Austrians can do dry yellow muscatel really well. So we've been searching for a long time until we found a winery that mastered this difficult discipline in Germany. But in the end we've found what we were looking for, as Klundt does Gelbe Muskateller like no other. Incredibly juicy and aromatic, almost kitsch, this Muskateller has just about the right amount of freshness to balance. A great wine for everyday use. It tastes like a childhood memory of having a bite into a sweet, seedless grape. With notes of apricot and rose petals, this wine goes very well with spicy cheeses and slightly spicy, aromatic dishes from the Vietnamese and Thai cuisine.
With his Mörzheimer winery, Sven Klundt lives up to the dynamic southern Palatinate. It's very important to him to run the production environmentally friendly and sustainable, and so he manages of his vineyards accordingly. He makes real terroir wines from top locations such as the Birkweiler Kastanienbusch, but even the estate wines clearly bear his signature. In addition to his very convincing white and red wines, he also has a knack for really exciting bubbles. You simply can't resist his traditionally hand-shaken sparkling wine leaves and that Sven takes great pride in his profession as a winemaker.
