Funaro's Nero d'Avola shows what the grape variety is capable of in the right hands. There’s nothing jammy about this. The wine is powerful and fruity, but always remains fresh and approachable. Ripe cherries and blackberries dominate the nose, some tobacco and cassis add to its mouth - all integrated by a cool, easygoing wine style.
