Anna Maria Abbona Sorí dij But Dogliani DOCG Piemont 2021
The Piemont is especially known for its nebbiolos from the areas around Barolo and Barbaresco. Anna Maria Abbona lives a little further south in the small village of Dogliani. Here the winegrowers take Dolcetto as seriously as their colleagues in Barolo take Nebbiolo. This is also due to Anna Maria's wines. Together with her husband Franco she took over her father's vineyard in 1989 and made Dolcetto from Dogliani what it is - the most exciting interpretation of its kind. Anna Maria works on her wines with tradition in mind, but with contemporary methods. You can already tell that with her beginner, the Langhe Dolcetto. And how does it taste? The Dolcetto presents itself in a deep dark colour in the glass. Plum, blackberry and some liquorice pour into the nose. The mouth is full and juicy, slightly bitter and never too heavy. So it freshens up every strong meal.
