Was die koreanische Küche vor allem auszeichnet und von anderen asiatischen Küchen unterscheidet, sind die schmackhaften saisonalen Beilagen, „Banchan“ genannt. Einige von ihnen werden wir, neben anderen Klassikern der koreanischen Küche, gemeinsam kochen. Feel the taste of Korea!

Eun-Young Cho

Eun-Young wurde in Berlin als Kind koreanischer Gastarbeiter geboren. 1979 eröffneten ihre Eltern das erste koreanische Restaurant in Berlin mit dem bezeichnenden Namen „Restaurant Kim Chi“.

Eun-Young hat eine große Leidenschaft fürs Kochen und sie liebt es, Familie und Freunde zu bekochen. Ihre Kochexperimente kann man bei Instagram auf "chocooks" bestaunen. Sie gibt seit 2013 (mit Unterbrechungen) koreanische Kochkurse. Getreu ihrem Motto „Cooking is love“ kocht sie so, wie sie es von ihren Eltern gelernt hat: Authentische koreanische Hausmannskost, zubereitet mit ganz viel Liebe!

Eun-Young ist Rechtsanwältin und interkulturelle Trainerin für Korea.

Cooking in groups — In this class you will form small groups and each group will be cooking some of the dishes listed in the menu. The other dishes will be cooked by your fellow cooking class participants. However, important steps and basic techniques will be demonstrated in front of the entire class and/or practiced together. Of course you will also see and hear what is going on around you and you are very welcome to ask the teacher questions. The class is designed for you to experience diverse dishes and menu components.
