François Pralus Barre infernale café, 160-g-Riegel
Pralus Barre infernale café is actually nothing more than a gigantic praline with a special feature: it is wrapped in a very generous and crunchy layer of dark coffee chocolate, which does not contain any cocoa, but is made from Arabica coffee beans, cocoa butter, and sugar - and which looks like chocolate! The core consists of a cream made of hazelnut and almond nougat, rounded off with coffee. You really can't get any more coffee in a bar of coffee chocolate, we think. A really special treat.
Founded in Roanne by August Pralus in 1948, the family business is now run by his son Francois Pralus. The former patisserie is now characterized by original chocolates and Pralus is one of the most renowned chocolatiers in France. The chocolates have a crystal clear, crunchy texture that is absolutely typical for Pralus. The patisserie origins can be seen in the unbelievable barre infernales, the oversized bars are actually nothing more than decadently filled giant pralines that are very generously coated with the best chocolate.
