Healthy and energizing food plays an important role in Vietnam. The dishes are usually prepared with minimal fat and cooked for a short duration. The fresh character of Vietnamese cuisine is enhanced by the abundant use of herbs and pleasant spiciness. Staple foods include rice, rice noodles, and vegetables, while fish and meat play a secondary role. Vietnam's culinary repertoire is also influenced by the former colonial powers, incorporating many Western eating habits. This includes items like baguettes, croissants, and coffee introduced by the French and adapted into the traditional cuisine.

This menu consists of internationally renowned Vietnamese dishes. The cooking technique is uncomplicated yet slightly unfamiliar. All the recipes are authentic and originally from my family.

 P/S: If you follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, you should choose the course Miss Vietnam vegan.

Cooking in groups — In this class you will form small groups and each group will be cooking some of the dishes listed in the menu. The other dishes will be cooked by your fellow cooking class participants. However, important steps and basic techniques will be demonstrated in front of the entire class and/or practiced together. Of course you will also see and hear what is going on around you and you are very welcome to ask the teacher questions. The class is designed for you to experience diverse dishes and menu components.
