Larmandier-Bernier Champagne Rosé de Saignée Premier Cru Extra Brut Champagne
Not many people put such an effort into a bottle of rosé champagne. But Larmandier-Bernier take their Rosé de Saignée very seriously. The grapes, 90% Pinot Noir, plus 10% Pinot Gris, come from their own vineyard, where they grow side by side. After the harvest, the grapes are macerated for two to three days - in other words, they are treated like red wine. The juice is then drawn off and fermented completely before the wine is bottled for the second fermentation and then subsequently 24-month of resting on the yeast. This makes the Rosé de Saignée very vinous and aromatic with notes of red berries, orange peel and rhubarb. Elegant, dense and full of tension!
