2017 Holger Koch Pinot Noir Herrenstück Baden
Holger Koch and his wife Gabriele Engesser stand for an incredibly clear, cool and elegant wine style. Their wines never have too much fruit, are never too fatty, but are always balanced and unagitated at the highest level. The Kochs have a good 8 hectares of the best sites on the Kaiserstuhl and are proven Burgundy specialists. They attach great importance to healthy vineyards, for which Holger and his father Hubert also invest many extra hours in the vineyard. This slim and animating Spätburgunder comes from the vineyard terraces of the Bickensohler Herrenstück.
And how does it taste?
Raspberry, blackberry, mint, clove and cinnamon. Elegant and balanced.
