Jurtschitsch Grüner Veltliner Terrassen Kamptal 2022
Influenced by the unique climate of the Danube region, with its pronounced day-night temperature differences, the vines for the Grüner Veltliner Terrassen grow in a variety of soil types, ranging from gneiss to loess. The wine is yellow with green reflections, offering a fresh apple aroma with delicate citrus notes on the nose. It has a pleasant peppery spice and invigorating fruit on the palate. A perfect drinking experience for many occasions.
Winemaking
The grapes were hand-picked and transported to the press house in stackable boxes without damage. They were de-stemmed and pressed gently after a short maceration period. Without the use of pumps, the clarified juice flowed into the 700-year-old natural cellar, where it fermented slowly in stainless steel tanks. This process primarily promoted the delicate aromas and fragrances. The wine was then aged on its fine lees for some time, which further enhanced its complexity.
