Entre Vinyes - Cava Funambul Equilibri Natural - Reserva
France is not the only country known for sparkling wine. Spain does not need to hide either. Penedès, just outside Barcelona, is one of six cava areas in Spain and where the Funambol comes from. The grape varieties for this wine are the typical cava varieties Xarel-lo, Macabeo and Parellada.
And how does it taste?
Xarel-lo gives substance and the characteristic aroma of green apple skin. From Macabeo comes crème and elegance. The fresh acidity and citrus notes come from the Parellada. Overall cool, crisp and beautifully light.
Charming show-off knowledge:
Did you know that the centre that separates the two L's in the word "Xarel-lo" is called "punt volat" in Catalan? The centre ensures that the two L´s are pronounced in "Xarel-lo" as the German word "Welle". In Catalan and Spanish, on the other hand, the "ll" is pronounced like a "y". Aha.
